Terms of use
Last updated 3 September 2026
These terms govern your use of the Elite SACCO member portal. They cover the portal itself — your membership, savings and loans remain governed by the SACCO's by-laws and the specific agreements you have signed. Where these terms and the by-laws conflict, the by-laws prevail.
Who may use the portal
The portal is for registered members of Elite Savings and Credit Cooperative Society Limited whose membership is in good standing. Access is personal to you. You may not let another person use your credentials, and you may not use another member's.
Keeping your account secure
You agree to:
- choose a PIN that is not your birth year, your ID number, or a repeated or sequential digit run;
- keep your PIN and any one-time code confidential, and never share them with anyone — including someone claiming to be SACCO staff;
- use the “Trust this device” option only on a device that is yours and is not shared; and
- tell us immediately if you believe someone else knows your PIN, has access to your account, or has your registered phone.
Instructions we receive through a correctly authenticated session are treated as coming from you. Tell us promptly if that is ever not the case — the sooner you report it, the more we can do.
Availability
We aim to keep the portal available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend it for maintenance, or restrict access to an account where we reasonably suspect fraud or unauthorised use. Where we can give notice in advance, we will.
Accuracy of information
Balances and statements shown in the portal are provided for your information. Where a figure shown here differs from the SACCO's books of account, the books of account govern. Tell us if you believe a figure is wrong.
Acceptable use
You may not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the portal or to another member's data, probe or test its security without our written permission, submit automated requests at a volume that degrades service, or use the portal for any unlawful purpose.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service or the law changes. We will post the revised terms here and update the date above. Continuing to use the portal after a change means you accept the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
